Kristin Fisher has joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin was raised in the field of space as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's covered space policies under Biden and Trump Administrations on FOX News. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president, the 2020 Presidential campaign as well as efforts of two administrations to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with President and Vice President, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before becoming a reporter for CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's camera skills led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
